How it started
My Story
My journey into the world of cold plunges started six years ago—with a snowy mountain road, an unexpected service call, and a customer who gave me a chance.
It was during the COVID era, and I was picking up extra work to keep the lights on and provide for my family. A job came through Angi labeled as a plumbing repair, so I accepted it. My main work vehicle was out of commission, so I had to take an older one I’d been working on—and honestly, it wasn’t in much better shape! Still, I made my way up snow-packed roads into the mountains outside Boulder, determined to get the job done.
When I arrived, the homeowner led me through his house to an upstairs wraparound deck. Sitting outside was a cold plunge.
“Well, there it is!” he said.
“Great!” I replied. “What am I supposed to do with it?”
“They said you might say that,” he answered with a laugh, before calling the manufacturer and connecting me with the owners and technical support team.
That first visit didn’t go as planned. Some of the parts needed for the repair hadn’t been sent, and I made two trips to the nearest parts store—45 minutes each way—trying to find a solution. Despite everyone’s efforts, I couldn’t finish the repair that day.
I hated leaving the job unfinished. I apologized to the homeowner, thanked him for his patience, and told him the company would likely send another technician to help. He thanked me for everything I had done to try to make it right.
A few weeks later, the manufacturer called and asked me to return. What they told me has stayed with me ever since:
“The customer appreciated your service, and he doesn’t want to work with anyone but you.”
I went back, completed the repair, and found something I hadn't expected: a new direction for my life and my business.
Why I Do This
That first experience taught me that this business is about more than fixing equipment. It’s about trust—showing up, making an honest effort, communicating when things don’t go as planned, and following through.
What began as a way to support my family grew into a passion for cold plunges and saunas: how they’re built, the technology behind them, and, most importantly, the people who use them.
I’ve enjoyed meeting owners from all walks of life and learning what these spaces mean to them. Their reasons for plunging or using a sauna are personal, but one theme keeps coming up: making time for their health and well-being. For many, it’s more than a piece of equipment. It’s a daily ritual, a quiet retreat, and a space to reset.
That’s why I built my business around helping Colorado cold plunge and sauna owners care for the equipment—and the spaces—they rely on. My goal is to keep those systems clean, well-maintained, and operating at their best, while providing the same care and determination that earned one customer’s trust on that first snowy service call.
I started by doing everything I could to help one customer. That's still how I approach every job.
